To The Beautiful You - Review

Love, drama, comedy, friendship, romance, bromance, heart break, cross-dressing, competition, intense rivalry; you name it! This drama has it all!!!

In one line its a story about a fan-girl who wants to help the the love of her life by following him to an all boys school- dressed as - you guessed it, a boy.

On many grounds it is just like any other romantic comedy out there. For instance the traditional getting sick and nursing scene or playing mean in the beginning act; but that's not all there is to the story. All the characters are very well developed, that air of school life, those friendly competitions and also the not so friendly ones, love triangles, parental issues, beach scenes,  it is all there. What we must not forget fellow watchers is that it's not just the story that is very well written and presented but alsothat the casting is amazing.

It all boils down to the fact whether or not Gu Jae He (Sulli) can see Kang Tae Joon (Choi Minho) jump again after his injury. All that hiding her gender and dealing with Tae Joon's tantrums should be enough trouble, one might think but apparently it is not the case for our damsel in disterss. She finds her self tangled in two love triangles. Yes, you heard me right (or read?), not one but two. One of them is the dreamy Oppa KIM JUNG-HOON (Kim Woo-bin) who has watched her grow from a silent wall flower to the perky girl with a beautiful smile. He comes to he school as a photographer but is actually there because of his feelings for Gu Jae he.

Then there is the adorable Cha Eun Gyeol (Lee Hyun Woo), who becomes the first friend Gu Jae he makes in the school. Soon after he starts developing feelings for her but controls himself because he thinks that both of them are boys :(

Regardless of who likes who and who is what Gu Jae He tries her best to help Kang  Tae Joon overcome his hurdles that include, the death of his mother, his messy relationship with his father, the fierce rivalry with his classmate and his apparent slump.

That seems a lot for just one drama but rest assured it all gets dealt with. Have fun watching it !!!

You Are too Much - Review

This drama is too much, too too too Toooooooooo Much!!! So the story revolves around two women. One being a popular star and the other her imitator. This drama is filled up to the brim with shouting, screaming, kicking, beating, potting, crying, lying, deceiving  and cheating. Before watching this drama you must know that no one in the rich family eats, they only gather at the table to fight If for once they do eat that just means they have acquired the energy to fight even more. It is one of the first dramas that I watched and has more then 21 episodes. The plot is amazing and the first few episodes really reel you in but then the one of the main character get changed because they got sick in real life #getwellsoon, and the drama sort of looses a little bit of its charm. When The actor was first replaced I dropped the drama and though that I would probably never see it again but the story stayed in my head and I wanted to know what would happen next. Yes, there are moments ...

Kill Me, Heal Me Vs Hyde, Jekyll, Me - Review

Seemingly there is soooooo much common between these two dramas, like they both aired in the January of 2015 or that they both are about Chaebols suffering with the same psychological disorder ( Dissociative Identity Disorder) , who are trying to hide their demons from the world and will be saved by ladies in shinning lop gloss. Aaaaaaannnnnddd that's just about it! Other then the basic plot which seems very rudimentary at first sight but has its own depths of each drama, both the stories are very different from each other. Let's save the best for last and talk about  Hyde, Jekyll, Me first. The aesthetics are very eye catching, that include the male lead, Hyun Bin with  his two charming personalities (Gu Seo Jin and Robin)  that hate each other. For them to live a normal life Gu seo Jin must come to terms with his past and deal with the sorrow and anxiety that comes with it, but turns out he's a coward. Evidently there are a lot of changes to b...

Fight For My Way (Review)

This drama is fairly unconventional in the sense that incorporates careers, dreams and emotions in a very realistic way. Yes, it does have a love triangle and other conventional parts that all romantic k-dramas have but it gives all of that a practical touch. Four childhood friends, pursue their lives while forgetting their dreams but as the story develops their realize their dreams again and literally fight for their way. Park Seo Joon for his dream to become a fighter and Kim Ji Won for her dream to become an announcer. while pursuing their dreams they come to terms with their feeling and fall in love. The only obstacle their dreams and their wish to keep each other safe. And also a crazy ex from the past who wont take no for an answer.
